Thoughts of an Aspiring Teenage Writer

{April 30, 2008}   So..yeah, it’s my birthday.

LOL I must be the only person in the world that ate their birthday cake for breakfast. Cuz, well, I don’t eat dinner with my dad (because I eat at around 5 and he comes home at 8ish) and my mom was like: Okay, get out the candles!

Of course, it was kind of funny how I blew out the candle at 7:25 AM… HAH World’s earliest birthday candle blowing thing! As far as I know, anyway.

Hm…the 6th graders and 7th graders have TAKS today, which is why I’m glad I’m an 8th grader. :) Good luck, Annie, on yours, though.

Thank you so much Melissa, Stephanie, Chelsea, Patricia! You guys rock! As for those who forgot…*ahem* LOL jk jk, it’s totally fine that you forgot or didn’t get me anything…april/may (hah, last day of april) is a busy time of year…especially this year since there’s the messed up TAKS schedule.

Uh…thanks Bernice, for your enthusiasm. Lol.
My fave line from Les Mis is: “I am reaching…but I fall…”
I DK, I’m not depressed or anything, but when I heard Valjean and Javert sing it…I was like: Awww….*goosebumps*

HAH I had 2 slices of leftover cake for dinner…YUM. My mom couldn’t choose what flavor she thought I liked the most, so she bought like 5 slices of different cakes. They’re all from Mozart Bakery near Assi Plaza, so some of the flavors are a little unusual. (Korean cake PWNS over American cake!)

So…in conclusion of my cake tasting journey, I have tasted:
Sweet potato cake, cheesecake, whipped cream & fruit cake, coffee cake, and green tea cake. I have eaten/tasted ALL. BWAHAHAA…
I’m prob never again gonna have cake until my next birthday. WAIT! My mom’s & my dad’s birthdays are both in MAY! NOOOOOO! lol.

Thank you everyone for everything!

OMG LAST DAY OF APRIL. LOL That’s INSANE! (I’m always like this on my birthday..like DUDE TOMORROW IS MAY.. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!)

LOL that kind of rhymes. Oh yeah, this is the final copy of the conversation, since I found a couple of typos and unnecessary things in the other one.

Jean: So, you and I are somewhat alike…I, a convict, you a demon.
Sebastian: You’ve got the longer end of the stick…at least you’re human.
Jean: Yes, but when people saw me with my yellow passport, they stare as if I had suddenly sprouted devil horns and tails…
Sebastian: [scoff] Which, of course, is a common stereotype about demons…
Jean: Yes, now I see that demons don’t really have those things. But then why do they have those features in pictures?
Sebastian: The horns and tails were just added by humans so that people would be able to distinguish a demon from a human. They were afraid of the horrible truth, that they wouldn’t be able to tell demons apart from humans.
Jean: Ah, I see.
Sebastian: But enough about me. How is it that you were able to turn yourself—a convict—into an almost saintly person?
Jean: Oh, please…I didn’t really do it all by myself…if it weren’t for the bishop and Cosette, I’d still be that wretched criminal. The mere thought of the wretched being I once was frightens me.
Sebastian: You keep calling yourself wretched… Let me assure you that humans can never become as ‘wretched’ as demons. Tell me, have you ever met a man who has killed his own mother and nearly a hundred other people by himself? Well I am that man, and I deserve to be put to death.
Jean: Ah…well, it is good that you repent for your sins.
Sebastian: But, considering what I’ve done…will that be enough?

Okay first, I’d like to secretly congratulate (I say secretly because I doubt Stephenie Meyer will ever read this entry) for the article that TIME magazine FINALLY wrote on her. (I was begging them to write one ever since JK Rowling appeared)

I have no doubt that SHE IS THE NEXT JK ROWLING. Except even better, because she has romance. Now a lot of you may disagree that JK Rowling is better. Well, I don’t want to start a whole arguement about it but this is just my opinion. (And no mock trial peoplez, you CANNOT object to me for “opinion or speculation”…LOLZ)

Okay, fine, I admit that this article is probably one of the few articles in TIME magazine that I’d really enjoyed. Sure, there are some occasional articles, but mostly I just stick it (it comes in the mail every week) in a corner on my desk and never get around to reading rest of them. (Especially because the recent politics. I mean, as much as I care about who is the president of america or not…but I’m sick and tired of them practically tracking down every single move of Obama and Clinton. I mean, COME ON! Who cares if they made a mistake? They’re human!)

Mock Trial. OMG. SO AWESOME/SENSATIONAL/STRESSFUL/FRUSTRATING/FUN!
Combine all of those words and you would get mock trial. LOL
Although I don’t think I really played a huge role in the trial (I mean, come on, Bobby Powers was already dead when he showed up in my autopsy table. I was the only truly innocent person there.) It was AWESOME to be able to see/hear/interact with the other teams and talk about the our experiences at the end of the year. This was probably better than any choir concert/event I’ve ever been to. If there is mock trial in high school and I don’t totally Azn-fail next year, I’m definitely going to sign up.

Rejection. I got one from Ms. Alyssa Henkin….a FORM rejection. Hm. She rejected to the query, so it’s not my writing that made her reject…THIS TIME. But meh, I don’t care anymore. The only rejection that would make me feel bad is probably Caren Johnson’s (whose response I don’t expect until at least when school gets out…for good. ((meaning middle school, lol)) ) becuz I sent her the FIRST FIFTY OR SO PAGES. IF she rejected to that, I would probably go back and rewrite.

Oh by the way, for those of you who haven’t seen this yet, this is the behind the scenes look/trailer for twilight. PRETTY WICKED EFFECTS if you ask me. I can’t wait!

{April 22, 2008}   I <3 Ms. Penny

OMG I was freaking out yesterday about my journal in PACE, and now I can relax! Ours is due on Monday…hooplah!

@.@ *groan* Problemo is, if I’m going to do journal on the weekend..when will I do my IRP? PLUS to make it even worse, I have to write out the whole chapter of Luke (in the Bible) in KOREAN by May 3rd. Luke is like 25ish chapters. I’m on chapter 5ish 6ish 7ish.

Hm…yet, I don’t feel like doing any work today. After all, I did spend nearly 12 hours in school today. (8 AM to 8 PM, -_-)

Today is certainly ‘Hell’ week.

(If you’re in choir, you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, “Hell week” is basically the week before a very important concert/play when you have to stay after school for all week…generally used by the Senior High school choir kids…)

So, in Costco yesterday, I was browsing the books/CDs/video games section like I always do whenever we go there, when I saw what’s on the title. (lol, too lazy to type it out again)

It’s a CD, and I’m currently listening to it. GASP I can actually concentrate on my hw while listening to it! (Most of my music are too violent, fast, loud..etc.)

My mom bought it for me as a ‘birthday present’.

Along with that birthday present, I preordered Breaking Dawn (last book of the Twilight Saga), ordered “Wicked Lovely”, and “A Sweet Far Thing”.

Oh how I LOVE my birthday. LOL…although, now that I think about it, I kinda should have waited until the actual day. What to do on the thirtieth? I know, EAT CAKE AND STUDY FOR TAKS! LOL.
