Well, since I’m trying something new and might give up on “Lightweaver” all together (in Aurora’s point of view, anyway), I decided to take down the Lightweaver page. Now, don’t despair, I’ll have updates on V. Fia (which is what I’m calling it until I come up with an ingenious title…LOL)
***New***
I’m also going to start tracking my other WIPS…they all have weird word document names, so bear with me.

Updates on V. Fia
Just to boost my self-esteem, this is the previously completed meter…

Hm…I’m not very good at keeping promises. D: V. Fia is over 75,000 words now, but it’s not finished yet. D:

***November 30, 2008***
Okay guys, I know I promised that I’d finished before the Thanksgiving break was over, and I’m sorry…but it’s turned out to be longer than I expected. I think it’ll be a little over 75,000…
***September 13, 2008***
Because of school and other things, my progress in writing has slowed down considerably. But I will still be writing/working on V.Fia, so don’t you worry. I usually write at least 30 min every day…or try to at least. (I think I’ll need to write a lot more than 50,000 words though.
)
***August 15, 2008***
As you can see above, V. Fia has reached (and surpassed) 50%. It is now almost 100 pages. (99…gr…so close yet so far away!) Unfortunately it’s past my bedtime now (even teenage writers like me have their bedtimes…-grumble-) and I have to stop.
Let me just warn you guys, that V. Fia is a lot different from Lightweaver…probably because Fia is so different from Aurora. I hope you guys will like it, nevertheless. (By the way, does anyone know the difference between nevertheless and nonetheless? I sure don’t.)
***July 18,2008***
Finally, 50 pages!
***July 17,2008****
It’s now about 42 pages…. ![]()
***July 15, 2008***
From now on, the little meter above will keep track of how much I’ve written.
The meter keeps track of my total word count. As of the moment, I’m aiming for 50,000 words, but I will make it longer if necessary. The previous version was about 70,995 words.
***July 13, 2008***
33 pages…I’ve changed a few things here and there. Nothing drastic…I think…but the plot is a little different now…
***July 11, 2008***
It’s currently 26 pages. Fia is turning out to be very…interesting. I don’t want to spoil a lot of things, but let me just tell you that she’s not as wimpy as Aurora. -cough- I’m kind of worried that some parts might not be appropriate at all…but I’ll just let Fia rampage a little bit and kind of rein her back (if necessary) when I finish the first draft and start to edit.

are you still keeping the same general story line?

Yeah, sort of. Except this might go a little more faster. I’m thinking of condensing the ’series’ into a two book think or a one book thing.

But aren’t most novels longer than 50,000 words?
lnlee said,

Yeah. They are. But 50,000 is the bare minimum. As I said before, just because I put 50,000 doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop there. It was just a…short-term goal to reach.
